Pain in Fingers 2 Months ago
I have a couple of questions for the CuTS sufferers and vets of CuTS. Did anyone have pain in their fingers (little finger and ring finger) and/or muscle on pinkie side of palm before surgery? If you have already had your surgery, did the pain in the fingers go away immediately or did it take a while?

I am having intermittent pain in my fingers and palm that I did not have a couple of weeks ago. Looks like I will be having surgery in about two weeks.

Thanks!

What you say is really reconizable for me. Its a stingy sensation on the outside of the pinky all the way to the wrist. It get worse when applied pressure to. In my opinion in my case it has something to do with muscle wasting.

Yes. Most of my pain was in my elbow area, but I also had pain in my ring and little fingers. I believe the pain was simply traveling up and down my ulnar nerve, as I also had pain in my shoulder.

I had ulnar decompression surgery in June. Much of my pain is gone, though I still experience some pain when using the computer. Ironically, once the major pain in my elbow was eliminated, I started to feel other little pains in my fingers and wrist. Probably the onset of arthritis and maybe a bit of carpal tunnel syndrome. I've been using the PC heavily for 25+ years, so I guess I'm paying the price.

Good luck with your surgery! Please stop back and let us know how you are doing.

Thanks for your responses Timm and DJ.

Day-by-day, this seems to be getting worse. Of course I didn't expect it to get any better, but it seems to have become more "well defined" if you will, in the last week or so. I noticed today the pain traveling up the back of my arm right at the Ulnar nerve. I also have some compression of the median nerve at the elbow. The doc. said he would take a look at that while he is in the neighborhood also. I'm anxious to get this over with and get back to regular life, though that might not be easy since my work involves both computer work and heavy lifting, climbing and all kinds of other bad stuff.

10 days until the knife!

I know what you are going through. Sometimes the pain in my ring and pinkie finger is very intense. I also have weakness of the hand and very noticeable muscle wasting of the muscle on the palm side directly below the pinkie.
