gonna get a second opinion 3 Months, 4 Weeks ago
Hello again, I hope everyone is well.
I finaly found a dr to get second opinion on what went wrong with surgery. The circle bruises are worse, and pains and numbness has hit all fingers.
Current ortho still just shruges shoulders. Something is fishy I asked for mri of elbow and she said no, I asked to have the nerves re-tested to se after surgery results and she said the neuro said he would not re-check and would not se me ???? To me thats wierd. So I said time is right for new opinion. I'm slowly loosing my arm and she just says huh thats odd. Even the pt says they wont touch me becouse he feels there is something wrong. Does anyone else se this all as fishy or am I peranoid?

Sillyme,

"Fishy" is an understatement!!! The only reason I can think of that all the doctors that are tied to your recent operation are basically blowing you off, and too, not giving you any answers is they probably are looking at you as a "future law suit" and if they ignore you (in their pathetic minds)you will just go away. See what your new doctor(s) say, and too if he sees things as fishy. Where they "warm and fuzzy" towards you before all these issues? If they were, then something is up. Good luck with it. Paranoid? NO!!!

Definitely fishy! I think Brenda is right, the staff is blowing you off, hoping you just go away quietly. I've never heard of a doctor refusing a follow-up exam of a patient they operated on unless they were expecting litigation. Unless you've shouted "lawsuit" somewhere along the way, they must know something is wrong and are expecting bad things to come.

Good idea getting a second opinion. Just be sure there are no ties between the two doctors. Often surgeons in smaller towns will all know each other and may protect each others' interests. If your new doctor tries to blow you off too, then you should find another doctor in a nearby town. I hope it turns out OK for you.

Sillyme,

I am in Federal Law Enforcement, and believe me guilty behavior is the same behavior no matter if the subject is criminal or civil. They evade first (your Doctors and support staff have shown that), then they if it has anything to do with records and the like, start fudging things or back writing paperwork. Hopefully you got copies of your surgical results right after or soon after surgery?

Another thing they do is give misleading or "non" answers - which also has happened here. The most common last phase is they start to disclaim your statements or try to convince others they know more than you. Don't back down. It sounds like you are on the right track with your new doctor(s). Keep us posted Sillyme.
