For those who might be interested, a hand specialist out of Houston has some interesting information on his sight. It includes a video of the subcutanious ulnar nerve transposition. It is the real deal, so if you don't want to see what the inside of your arm looks like , don't click the video. I saw your video. It is pretty hard to look at. I read in my surgery report where my surgeon used a bone saw on something, yuck, but I did not see that on the video. I wonder what part of the bone do they have to cut?

Yea, the video isn't too bad, but probably not ofr the squemish. I found it very helpful. I couldn't understand how the nerve was going to be rerouted without cutting the muscle until I saw this.

There seems to be quite a variety of approaches different doctors take. My procedure was very similar to the subcutaneous ulnar nerve transposition in the video. I was in surgical dressing and an ace bandage for a couple of weeks and then free to move my are as much as I felt comfortable doing. If yours is going to be submuscular, I would think you would be in a splint or cast. I thought my doctor would give me the option of having a spinal block of some kind or a general anesthesia. He told me he only did it under general, though. That was fine with me. Seemed like the whole thing only took a few seconds that way. Good Luck
