You're Welcome Spoiled. One of my Agents was going to have both arms done at the same time a few months ago. His Doctor/Surgeon refused to do that due to him putting his patient in a full disability status. Even if you live with someone, private activities (bathroom) and cleaning aren't private. Glad to see you are rethinking that idea. I would get my dominant arm done first. Good luck!!

Hi Spoiled,

Re: "Do you having both arms done at the same time?"

I highly recommend against having both arms done at the same time. You would become totally disabled for 4+ weeks and require a 24x7 full-time nurse to tend to your every need, including preparing meals, feeding, bathing, even wiping yourself after going to the bathroom, etc. That would cost you $400/day or more.

I had surgery on my dominant arm 8 weeks ago, and I was shocked at how challenging daily life is with only my weaker arm (and I practiced for a few weeks just to get my weaker arm in shape).

Brenda is right, do your dominant arm first, then wait about 3-4 months to give yourself time to heal, then have your weaker arm done.

Good luck and a speedy recovery!

You really can't predict how fast you'll recover. I waited for my second elbow surgery until my first elbow was healed enough to take over. I even postponed the second surgery a couple of times after the first acted up again.
