Hi all,
Well, it's now 18 days since surgery. My surgeon said that the nerve was in worse condition than he thought since all my symptoms were sensory. He said he's surprised that I have gotten some relief. However, if I use the arm too much the little finger numbness returns. But it's better.
I have couple of questions. Above the incision site to & including elbow are still very sensitive to touch and when stretching arm completely I feel a tightness. I still have to ice a couple times a day and occassionally take tylenol. Did anyone have those symptoms?
I have very good ROM, since I have been working the arm like I did after my mastectomy on the same arm 21 years ago.
The doctors had to put in a PICC line for the surgery - no veins on left arm. Stuck 10 times the week before, then they rescheduled it at hospital and the PICC line.
I carry a pillow for arm in case I'm in case I'm in crowds to avoid someone bumping it.
I'm worried about traveling with arm so sensitive. I have a trip planned for on the 28th (12 days) & I'm worried about someone bumping it on plane. Any suggestions? I hate to cancel trip. It involves to two plane rides.
Thanks
