New Symptoms After Surgery 4 Years, 3 Months ago Karma: 0
Hello All,

I used to be an avid contributor to this website under the name KerleyQ, but has been so long I didn't remember my password.. I have had bilateral submuscular ulnar nerve transpositions. my right arm in 2008 and my left six months later in 2009.. I recovered fully and only experienced a little pain here and there, mostly when it rained. However, for the last 6 weeks, my elbow, wrist, and hand has been hurting badly, and getting substantially worse. The tips of my fingers would go numb here and there, then one day I simply scratched an itch on my arm, and my entire hand went to sleep. Now they go to sleep frequently, my full hand and fingers, including my pinky and half ring fingers. And developed the twitching of the fingers, hand, and arm again. Has anyone else ever developed more issues after transposition? Could it be possible for nerves to be entrapped elsewhere in the arms? Any input will help me. My doc is going to send me back to my surgeon. Hope you all have a great evening!

I had transposition surgery and it helped tremendously. But eventually I started to have pain and tingling again, though not as bad as before surgery. I know my ulnar nerve isn't being trapped in my elbow anymore because when I tap my "funny bone" it feels dead there. So the nerve must be getting pinched somewhere else. I'm mulling over whether to return to my doctor.
