Ok so I am 2 weeks from SubQ surgery. June 3rd is D-Day. I am going to Disney July 14th (5 weeks post-op) my question is should I bring a sling to rest my elbow while doing the Disney stuff? Would you recommend going on roller coasters (maybe not so much that) and a water park or just take it easy? I'm sure this common sense questions but would like to hear thoughts on this. Background I had surgery 8 months ago on same elbow, simple decompression.

When I had my trans. surgery, my doc advised no sling after the nerve block wore off and especially after the splint came off because your elbow is bent @ 90 degrees in the sling. I would try and avoid anything where your elbow could get bumped. If you want to ride, how about an elbow pad?

I could never wear the sling because the incision would rest on the bottom of the sling and it could not take the weight of the arm. My stitches took forever to all come off (over 3 weeks), so I was double careful about what I used to rest my arm on.

Two weeks after surgery I traveled for 2 days by car (did not drive) and had a pillow to rest the arm on the whole way.
