Hi Yiayia and Brenda,
I went to my new dr. He thinks I'm having compression of my artery and nerve under the collar bone area. This would explain why all three nerves in my arm are having problems, the collar bone area is a place where the nerves from the neck bundle together in a big cable before branching out again. It could also explain the sudden power loss and coldness I get in the hand. He said that he doesn't believe the ulnar nerve surgery was not needed, he just thinks that the nerve was easily damaged at the elbow because of a compression / damage at the higher location. More testing will be needed to confirm or rule out his theory.

Howdy Cindy,
So I am clear, are you talking issues with the Brachial Plexus? If I remember right, that bundle also involves the major arteries as well? So glad to see they are narrowing in on what all is going on, I just hope it isn't found to be too complex. Please let us know how it goes!!

Yep, I did remember the area correctly. If I go through my last NCV, then mine are from there now, but we didn't finish the EMG part due to me being allergic to Latex and this *cough* doctor didn't have Nitrile gloves! So they were going on surface testing only. I am 99% mine isn't from there. Please let us know what the testing confirms for ya. That is a busy place to be cutting on! Fingers crossed for ya woman!!!

Hi, just peeking in on this thread. I've been having shoulder pain, too, but I had it before the decompression surgery (which was 3 weeks ago). I was hoping the surgery would help the shoulder, but it hasn't. Most of the pain is in the armpit & front of shoulder, but I feel a "cracking" near my spine at that level that seems related.
I'll be interested to hear how things go for you. Have you had any additional testing yet?

Hi Lynn4MK,
If you are having pain above the elbow you most likely have more than just the cubital tunnel issue only. Under the armpit pain is one of the symptoms of tos, I'm sure there are many other causes for shoulder/armpit pain it too. Just food for thought, you might want to google it and see if your symptoms match up?
What does your dr think the cause of your shoulder pain is?
Cindy
