Hey Chad,

Boy it sure stinks that you have to do it again. I wish you well. I think Brenda answered most of the questions you had regarding recovery time, etc. I had sub-muscular trans 6 months after decompression. I think because the 2 surgeries were so close together the recovery took a little longer, but I've regained full function in my left hand and the pain is so improved. I'm 7 months out and extremely pleased with my outcome. Really aside from my scar the only left-over sign that I had a problem is that when I'm relaxed my little finger still rests in a clawed position, but I can actively straighten it and bring all my fingers together which I couldn't do before. All in all I'd say I'm about 85% of where I was pre-CuTS.

Hang-in there and let us know how it goes.

Chris

Chad,

I had decompression surgery 8 months ago. My ulnar nerve was glued to my muscle as the doc put it. After 3 months I noticed a rubber banding/kinking/flipping of my nerve. I thought it was just the healing process but NOPE. It was doing the same exact thing yours is doing. I went back to the hand surgeon and he said the nerve is not cooperating so the resolution is Ulnar Nerve Transpition.....so as you guessed it I am also having another surgery next week June 3rd. You are not alone.....

I wish you well in your recovery and hang in there.
