Yes, it sounds like you may have CuTS, but you are still in your early stages and so you may have a fighting chance to beat CuTS without surgery.

First step is to stop leaning on your elbows when using the laptop. In general you should avoid putting any long-term pressure on your ulnar nerve.

Second step is to retrain your body for a better sleeping position. Dead arms means you are blocking blood flow, which of course is not good. Also, sleeping on bent elbows is a common cause of CuTS. The key is to sleep with your arms relatively straight, bending no more than 45 degrees (you don't want to lock them straight either, as that can damage your joints).

One idea is to wear a brace at night, but that can be a hassle, especially over time. Another idea is to sleep on your side hugging a king-sized pillow and place your arms relatively straight above and below the pillow.
