9 mos post surgery 2 Years, 1 Month ago Karma: 3
Hi All, Just wanted to drop a note to you and let you know there is hope after surgery. Christmas Day was 9 mos after my Sub-Q with some other additional elbow surgery. My ulnar entrapment was caused immediately by trauma with probably an underlying predisposition. I had also lost my ROM and could not bend my elbow before surgery. Luckily, I found a great hand specialist who knew what I had and did lots of these kinds of surgeries. I was in immense pain and had to go to a pain clinic for help and went to PT for the whole 9 months. I'm glad to say at this point that I've gained good not perfect ROM back and my surgery is mending nicely. I still get aches and zings ( I think they're healing signs) and my arm get tired and sore sometimes when I work it hard and my 2 fingers are still numb and somewhat weak but better than they were. My pinkie is still a bit curved but I'm using it all the time. So, maybe this will give someone hope that time might be what they need to feel better. I'm hoping I still have more mending ahead as my Dr. said that it could take 18 mos. I'll report back later. Wish you all a good year. Thanks for your support.
