someone please help! cant move elbow from straight position, im 3 weeks post simple decompression operation. had stitches out etc, surgeon not pointed me to physiotherapy. wound still very soar and feels very stiff in elbow and around incision. How long will this terrible feeling last ? is it normal ? tingling/symptoms gone and can grip just cant bend elbow beyond about 30 degrees. HEEEELPPPP!

Hey Glynndood,

I think if you're tingling is gone and you have improvement in your grip after 3 weeks you're doing well. You probably have some swelling that makes your elbow feel stiff. I started with gentle stretches and ulnar nerve glides about 8 days after both my decompression and transposition. It wouldn't hurt to ask your surgeon about PT.

Many thanks for your reply, I have had physio for the first time today and it hurt like mad but it is giving me another 10 or 15° of movement that I didn't have before! Well worth £30 for 30 mins torture! A few more sessions and things will be much better! I am not sure I will have the operation on the right elbow! Northern uk man is happier!
