Hi, I had ulnar nerve transposition 15 days ago and Carpal Tunnel Release almost a year ago. My splint looked a lot like Olga's but was a lot more padded with gauze and bandages. I only had to wear it for 4 days and am now wearing a sling "as needed." With my carpal tunnel I wore a another bandage like splint for 7 days and the a splint for prob a 4wks. Ice and Elevation are key to pain relief and prevention!! Resting my arm on stacked pillows with an ice pack is how I spend all of my down time! Good Luck with everything!!

Hi all

Surgery went well as surgeon was pleased; he did a subcutaneous transposition, a carpal tunnel release and the ulnar release at wrist. Will be in this cast/splint till Monday, March 22nd at which time they will place me in a long arm ulnar gutter splint with a wrist cock up component in addition possibly for 4 weeks.

Heeding everyone's advice and have it elevated on pillows & ice packs.
