Hi Allan,

I'm in the same decade of life as you are. I always sleep on my back, so that's not an issue for me. I'm having nerve problems still - the transportation surgery was great for me, but my doctor thinks I might have compression in more than one location. If I try to roll over on my side onto the bicep to exercise, it tirggers the ulnar nerve response, but so does lifting my arm, and rotor cuff type exercises.

I hope you get some answers - please let us know how the 24th goes. And how do you like your new bed!

Cindy

Hi Cindy

The bed hasnt arrived yet - 6-8 weeks for delivery! I was last week wearing a carpal tunnel glove on my left hand which I had connected via the metal bar inside to our brass headboard, so I couldnt turn over to my right.

However this week that has caused a spasm in my neck muscles so I'm abandoning that idea. I am however putting a cushion by my left side beneath my armpit so my left arm rest between the haed pillow and the pillow in the bed - this seems to be working ok. I have seen side sleeper pillows for this in the US but at $130 a time I think I'll have to try the new bed first.

What I have noticed is that last year I purchased some padded elbow splints and on occasssion I have used the two sock idea, but sometimes I noticed that I would wake up with numbness/tingling or a dead arm where the blood dupply was cut off. So now I'm not going to wear anything because in hindsight I think splints haven't helped sometimes.

I'm sorry to read about your troubles - my problems in comparrison to yours are insignificant. Perhaps one day there will be a cure.

Take care and I will let you know what happens on the 24th.

You are still welcome to that ulnar stretch programme I have on PDF. My email is above I think.

best regards

Allan

Hi Allan,

Your post made me laugh! We'll I guess we have to give you credit for trying.

I sent you an e-mail about a week ago for the pdf files. It's under David, did you see it? I can send it to you in private message if not.

I hope I didn't seem overly complaining about my issues. I'm so much better now than I was prior to surgery, I think I should state that more often. I'm positive that once they find the reason for my new symptoms I'll be even better!
