Hi! For starters I had subQ transposition on my right elbow in June. I started having symptoms on my left elbow in June. NCS shows CuTS in left elbow as well. My ortho surgeon(who is very good)said new evidence shows that a simple decompression shows great ling term results and is less invasive.
My question is that I do lifting and some wrench turning in my job. With the subQ surgery I was back to full duty in 4 1/2 weeks. with the decompression surgery how long is the normal recovery time. My work does not have light duty and I am hoping to be back to full duty in 27 days vs. 37 for the subQ. does this seem reasonable? any advise on the decompression surgery would be appreciated. The subQ worked great on my other elbow ,this surgery I am not so sure about.

i had the simple decompression in my right arm a week ago and it hardly bothers me. just tender. i also had a bunch of scar tissue scraped from my right wrist and that hurt far worse. my guess is from a simple decomp. you will be back to work soon. i can move my elbow all around now.
