Your welcome! 8 years Latex free, I am jealous! We only have one hospital maybe 2 in the South Florida area that have done that! Neither do spine surgery, but I go to them for MRI's, X-rays and such. 
I don't know what they put in the adhesive, but I have heard of people having reactions to the steri-strips too. I would say *if* you do want to do a spot test, do it far far away from the incision and see. You were right to add it as an allergy listing for yourself.
The big improvement for me? Crossing my fingers! My weakness in my hand got to the point that I almost couldn't turn the ignition key (had to roll my arm to do it), and darn it, couldn't cross my fingers! At about 4 months post op, I *finally* could do it! For me, that is when I knew the nerve damage wasn't permanent after all! It's funny what makes us smile from ear to ear huh? Keep healing!!!
