Hi,
I am 30 years old. Had a car accident when I was 14 years old where I had elbow fracture and a lot of nerve damage. Everything went ok with PT. now for the last 2 years I started having numbness and tingling in my left 5th and ring finger, no pain. Worse at night while sleeping but now having symptoms all the time. Had EMG thar showed decrease conduction velocity at the elbow level but normal amplitude. The neurologist told me to try PT. My question is: is this a progressive problem? are this symptoms going to get worse? what do you suggest I should do? thanks

I suggest that you try another doctor. From what I have read, it can get worse. If you are having symptoms all the time now, then I don't think PT will help.

I agree with the previous poster, I would see another physician (preferably an orthopaedic surgeon). If you are showing constant symptoms, it is most likely best to try a splint and anti-inflammatories. If those fail, you may want to think about surgery. In my opinion, physical therapy is not beneficial in the treatment of CuTS. I speak from experience, I had a month and a half of therapy which did nothing. Once I saw my orthopaedic surgeon, he discontinued the PT and recommended the typical treatment of splinting and anti-inflammatories.
