Take my advice,
You can mess up both wrists and both elbows in just 1 short afternoon.

Feeling sorry for yourself is
"" Bad for your Health "",
so remember, stay active ! ! !

Here is a pretty good video on Carpal Tunnel Surgery - Guyon Tunnel Surgery.

Best to All,

Phyllis

Phyllis, Thanks so much for showing us your surgery. I've seen the carpal but not the Guyon . Some people have said the carpal gave them the most trouble. Since you've had both it will be interesting to see how you feel about one or the other. Keep us informed on your recovery. You're a pro at this so far and I appreciate you sharing your experience. How many stitches are in either, is there numbness or less than before and can you move your wrist at all now while recovering. Wishing you a speedy. Jennifaux

Yes that's correct, the carpel tunnel release is WORSE
guess it is because the palm is more of a tender area.
But neither is a major problem
I was using my hand when I walked out of the recovery room.
Little by little I got better
It has been 1 week now and I can buttom my shirt and turn my door knob
The dr. says NOT to lift more than 5 lbs but I can just barely use my hand without pain so 1/2 pound is out for me
LOL 5 pounds ! ! !

LOL a Pro is one title that I do not desire LOL
Don't know how many stitches, can't see any at all, they took out the 1 big one on Friday.
And yes, I still have numbness in my pinky and ring finger but it's SUPPOSE to be gone in 2 months.

God Bless

Phyllis

My doctor said that my tendon had the nerve pressed very tight

Only time will tell if this was the final piece to the numbness puzzle

Phyllis,

I had seen your videos on youtube before joining this forum and just realized it's the same person. Thanks so much for posting. It's been very informative to me. I'm having all three procedures in October and your posts have really made me have a better idea of what to expect. I hope you're feeling better and good luck!
