Just been discharged from hospital following a 6-day stay. I have a staph based infection in my bursa, that spread to the joint and the ulna bone. Spread nicely dwon the arm to the hand, and started tracking back through the triceps. The resulting oedema from the infection squeezed the nerve again, and I'm now back to having no feeling at all in my fingers.
Was treated with morphine, clindamycin, gentamicin, flluxocillin and a benzyl based penicillin through IV for the duration. Luckily it managed to contain the infection, as the alternative would have been more surgery and soft tissue debridement; not something you'd wish on your worst enemy I can promise you.
